Humane Society of Tampa Will Be on Oprah

In a previous blog, I shared the great work being done in the Tampa area by the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. Their Mission Orange program provides extremely low-cost spaying and neutering of feral cats to control the population and improve their quality of life. They've helped us with our little cat family and we've watched them change as their life became easier.

We just got word that Oprah Winfrey is doing a follow up story on puppy mills. Part of the segment will feature 4-5 shelters and will show how Oprah's first segment on the issue affected each of the shelters. The Tampa Humane Society was one of the shelters selected. So tune in to Oprah Monday, April 28 and support your local animal shelter!

Tables & Goblets & Wine, Oh My!

Hello, all. First, sorry so long since the last post--we've just been very busy but more on that in another post.

For today, I wanted to share with you one of my newest large-scale pieces: A table constructed entirely of stoneware, featuring a glass top. If you look to the center of the table top, you'll see a glow--it's lighted inside the base and really adds drama to whatever you set on the glass table top.

This table, and a half round version of it, are currently on display at Charlie's Wine Cellar and Bar. Karen and I popped up for paninis and a lovely Australian Pinot Noir last night. Thanks, Mike and Elizabeth, for the hospitality.

In addition to the tables, there are eight three-bottle wine holders, some nice, functional wine goblets, vases and coffee cups. If you get a chance, stop by Charlie's this week. Charlie's Wine Bar & Cellar is located at 533 South Howard Ave. in Tampa.
